About Me: 

I received the Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy, on September 2010, and the PhD in Biorobotics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, Italy, on June 2015.
Since November 2010 to present, I am carrying out research activity at the BioRobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna within several Italian and European research projects (e.g. CareToy, CYBERLEGs, Evryon, Nanobiotouch, IUVO).

Main research interests cover the concept and the development of mechatronic systems to improve the control of wearable robotic devices, for rehabilitation or assistance.
My research activity is aimed at developing wearable sensorized systems, based on optoelectronic pressure sensors, used as human-robot interfaces.
These devices are used for:
- measuring the physical human-robot interaction between upper- and lower-limb exoskeletons and the user (by means of sensorized cuffs);
- monitoring the subject activity during gait tasks (gait analysis performed through sensorized insoles);
- monitoring the pre-term infants' posture (by means of a sensorized mat).
