About Me: 

Main research interests cover the concept, the mechanical design and the manufacturing technologies for wearable robotic devices (namely exoskeleton), for rehabilitation or assistance. My activity started with the deployment of functional upper-limb exoskeleton prototypes. On-going activities include:
- development of a portable hand exoskeleton for functional grasp restoration: kinematic validation, usability test with real end-users, mechanical design for the thumb opposition interaction/control, design of embedded small-scale series-elastic-actuators for interaction control
- development of a shoulder-elbow exoskeleton for post-stroke early rehabilitation: deployment of the elbow module in clinical environment, mechanics for the shoulder module, design and implementation of series-elastic-actuators for interaction control
