About Me: 


Dr. Fabio Leoni received his Master Degree in Computer Science from Dipartimento di Informatica - University of Pisa, Italy in July 1997 and the Ph.D. in Robotics from the University of Genova in 2001. Currently he covers a Post-doc Fellow position at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA) in Pisa assisting the management of the Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Group of SSSA leaded by Maria Chiara Carrozza and Stefano Roccella. His main activity regards the management of industry relationships for the development of innovative industrial products and services through the exploitation of the industrial research activity performed by IRD Group combining fund raising in the framework of International, National, and local call for proposals. Recently he has taken office as President of Fastenica S.R.L. (a spin-off company of SSSA) to exploit the industrial research activity performed by IRD Group. He has been also the CEO of TechnoDeal s.r.l. (a spin-off company of SSSA) in 2003 providing technical due diligences, business modelling, technology transfer services, process analysis, consulting and management services.

Dr. Fabio Leoni has research expertise in machine vision, mechatronics, microrobotics systems, bio-inspired control of robotics arms, grasping and manipulation in humanoid robotics,  design and development of control algorithms, neural networks.
